There will be no action taken against the Police Commissioner as the Interim Prime Minister believes that Commodore Esala Teleni had taken the right step.
Commodore Frank Bainimarama had today come out and said that the senior Indo-Fijian police officers, who are disloyal and have complained about the Police Christian Crusade to the media, should be sacked.
He said Commissioner Teleni's actions were justified when he called the meeting of the senior Indo-Fijian officers in Nasova yesterday and warned them to follow his orders, or get out of the force.
Bainimarama said none of the police officers are being forced to join the Police Christian Crusade and those who belong to other religions are free to do their own prayers.
Commodore Bainimarama said there is a plot being hatched by some journalists and senior Indian police officers to discredit Commodore Teleni and the Christian Crusade.
Bainimarama stressed that this will not be entertained.
Bainimarama said Commodore Teleni is not a racist and he is only doing his job.
Commodore Bainimarama said he understands that only senior Indo-Fijian officers were called into the meeting because they were the only ones complaining to the media.
Meanwhile, Commodore Teleni said he spoke to the Indo-Fijian police officers yesterday from a professional point of view.
He said he wants to strengthen professionalism in the organization and he has every right to do that and he did not force anybody to be part of the police crusade.
