There is still no word yet on whether bus and taxi fares will decrease based on the huge reduction in fuel prices earlier this month.

The Land Transport Authority which approves the fare increase or reduction is yet to decide on the decrease.

When Fijivillage News questioned LTA Chief Executive, Etuate Koroi on whether they will make a decision themselves as bus and taxi operators still haven't applied for the decrease, Koroi refused to make any comments.

There has been a huge reduction in fuel prices from the beginning of this month as Prices and Incomes Board has indicated another decrease in fuel prices.

Meanwhile, Consumer Council of Fiji, Chief Executive, Premila Kumar said LTA and other authorities should act soon as possible as people are suffering.
