The Fijian Teachers Association said they have not received any word from the Ministry of Labour with regards to their Cost of Living Adjustment claims.
General Secretary Maika Namudu said it is now getting frustrating as the claims on the Partnership Agreement, which includes COLA was filed some time ago, however there is still no word on it.
Meanwhile, the Fiji Public Service Association General Secretary Rajeshwar Singh said they have received an update on claims but from the Public Service Commission.
The Fiji Teachers Union General Secretary Agni Deo Singh said he does not want to comment on the matter just yet.
The Labour Ministry said all outstanding cases for the public sector unions regarding the retirement age, restoration of the 5 percent pay cut and the breach of agreement have been referred to the tribunal today.
However, the PSC Chairman Rishi Ram had earlier stressed that steps are being taken to scrap COLA and bring in the performance based management system in the civil service.
