The Pacific Tsunami Warning Center in Hawaii said there is no threat of a tsunami from a magnitude 6.9 earthquake that struck off the coast of Fiji and Tonga this morning.
The quake was centered about 546km East South-East of Nadi just before 8am.
The earthquake occurred at a depth of 421km.
The Pacific Tsunami Warning Center said based on all available data, there is no tsunami threat from this earthquake.
