The Fiji Human Rights Commission has stressed that no one should be prohibited from leaving the country, unless there is a court order.
Commission, Chairperson Doctor Shaista Shameem was reacting to comments by SDL National Director, Peceli Kinivuwai who said that his rights were violated because he was not allowed to leave the country to attend a meeting over the weekend.
When questioned by FijiVillage whether Kinivuwai's rights were violated, Shameem said there is no point as most people who wish to leave Fiji should feel free to do so.
