Fiji and the rest of the world who are pushing for the elections by March 2009 will have to look at the reality of the situation and then see whether the country can go to the polls.

The Electoral Commission has stressed that they do not have any timetable for general elections to be held in March next year.

Chairman M.R. Khan told Village News that the Boundaries Commission and the Bureau of Statistics have not compiled their neccessary reports to hold early general elections freely and fairly.
