The Fiji Bus Operators Association said they have not received any fuel subsidy as yet.

Assistant Secretary Viren Kewal's comments follows Fiji Labour Party leader Mahendra Chaudhry's earlier call on the interim government, Commerce Commission, the Land Transport Authority and other authorities to immediately review the price hikes given as a result of escalating fuel prices.

Chaudhry had earlier called for immediate reduction of Airfares both domestic and international, in particular the fuel surcharge granted to Air Pacific, bus fares which went up by 21%, Fuel surcharge levied by the Fiji Electricity Authority, Local and overseas freight charges and haulage charges by trucking companies.

However, Kewal said they have paid more for the fuel.
