No Smoking at B.O.G. Venue
The Fiji Sports Council, in conjunction with the Ministry of Health Ministry will be implementing a NO SMOKING awareness program at the Stadium complex.
Council Executive Chairman, Paul Yee says an awareness team of the Anti-Smoking Unit together with Council security guards and the Fiji Police Force will be present at the National Stadium over the two days to police and take people to task if they are caught smoking within the boundary of the complex.
The National Stadium complex is a NO Smoking Zone and Yee has also asked Fiji Football Association to assist them by telling soccer fans to avoid smoking in the Complex.
Meanwhile, Police have warned motorists to be extra vigilant on roads this weekend as alot of people will be traveling to Suva to witness the FMF/Blue Gas Battle of the Giants soccer tournament.
They have confirmed traffic officers will be based at various locations along highways, conducting speed and breathlyser tests.
And anyone found breaking any road rules or even found drunk while driving will have to spend their weekend in Police cell.
