There will be no Saturday or Holiday Classes in all schools.

These were some of the issues discussed at the two day Fiji Principals Association 105th Conference that ended yesterday.

Education Ministry's Director Secondary, Satindra Deo while addressing more than 120 principals said Saturday and Holiday classes have now been prohibited due to poor attendance and supervision, sexual misconduct from students, teachers, administrators, late start and early departure.

He also said that this puts financial burdens on the parents as well.

Deo said those teachers who wish to conduct afternoon classes should inform the principals however classes should be only for half an hour adding that there should be consent from parents.
