Interim Prime Minister Commodore Frank Bainimarama stresses that no political party will be allowed to put through racist policies when the People's Charter is implemented.
Commodore Bainimarama said people should now understand that he will ensure that the politics of race or using the race card to get votes, is now a thing of the past in Fiji.
He said political parties should be mindful of this when preparing for the next elections.
Bainimarama said the proposed legislations like the Qoliqoli and
Indigenous Land Claims Tribunal bills would have created racial hatred and animosity, and this should never be done again.
Meanwhile, SDL Leader Laisenia Qarase has revealed that the SDL is now setting up strategies for its campaigns for the next elections. He said he is ready to lead the party to yet another successful election come 2009.
