There will be no Methodist Church Conference this year.

Prime Minister, Commodore Frank Bainimarama said the decision is final and the President of the Methodist Church, Reverend Ame Tugawe has been informed about this in a one on one meeting with the Prime Minister yesterday afternoon.

Meanwhile, the Standing Committee of the Methodist church in Fiji is expected to meet this week to discuss about the outcome of the meeting which transpired between the Prime Minister and the President of the Church.

General Secretary, Reverend Tuikilakila Waqairatu confirms at a church service on Saturday, the outcome of the meeting between the two leaders will be conveyed to the Vanua of Rewa and the Paramount Chief of Burebasaga, Ro Temumu Kepa.
