Relatives of the 12 Raiwaqa bus fire victims have not been able to meet to discuss whether they will be claiming compensation from Raiwaqa Bus Company.

Natokalau village advisor Tokasa Vodivodi told Fijivillage, that families were suppose to meet on Saturday to discuss the issue but the meeting never eventuated.

Vodivodi had earlier stated that the issue of compensation had been discussed by family members staying in the village on the island of Ovalau and they had also agreed to call the meeting of families to pursue the issue of compensation.

Meanwhile, the National Road Safety Council held a remembrance day for the 12 victims of the bus fire at Naevuevu Village, Sigatoka last Saturday in conjunction with World Remembrance Day for Road Traffic Victims throughout the world.
