The military have not yet made a decision on whether
Navy Commander Francis Kean will be allowed to take back his post after completing his 18 months imprisonment, after he pleaded guilty to one count of manslaughter.

Army spokesperson Lieutenant Colonel Mosese Tikoitoga said he will not comment on the matter yet since the decision has not been made.

Kean is Interim Prime Minister Commodore Frank Bainimarama's brother in law.

High Court Judge Justice Gerard Winter said a non custodial sentence cannot be considered as maximum assault was used by Kean, who could have avoided causing the death of John, had he controlled his temper at the wedding of his niece, Interim Prime Minister Frank Bainimarama's daughter.
