There is no need for people to panic as there is no cyclone warning given as yet by the Meteorology Department, however lots of rain and strong winds can be expected from tomorrow.
Department Director, Rajendra Prasad said that there is a flash flood warning for low lying areas, major rivers, streams and culverts urging people to take precaution.
Prasad adds a tropical depression which has currently moved to Vanuatu and is going through the weakening process.
Meanwhile, Nadi Town more often than not, falls victim to flooding because of its location with damages done to shops and their stock in the past.
In light of the latest flash flood warning given by the Nadi Weather Office, Lord Mayor Timoci Koroiqica urges his ratepayers, businesses and shop owners to take precautions now.
Koroiqica also says the Nadi Civic Centre will be open if people need shelter during this time.
