It’s not known when Land Force Commander, Colonel Pita Driti will be going to take up the post of Fiji's High Commissioner to Malaysia.

Interim Foreign Affairs Minister, Ratu Epeli Nailatikau said the ministry is still awaiting confirmation from the Malaysian government regarding Fiji's nomination.

Nailatikau said all overseas postings often take time to be processed and he is hoping that Colonel Driti's application will go through.

Military spokesman, Major Neumi Leweni said he and Colonel Driti are back at Queen Elizabeth Barracks and they have already gone through the orientation process at the Foreign Affairs Ministry.

Major Leweni is expected to leave Fiji within a week's time to be Fiji's military attached in Beijing.
