There will be no COLA payments as the partnership agreement between the Public Sector Unions and the interim government remains suspended.
That is the official stand of the Interim government and according to the Permanent Secretary for Public Service Taina Tagicakibau, this stance will not change.
The Public Sector Unions have already said they will lodge their log of claims for COLA. The Fiji Teachers Association said it will demand 5% COLA while the Confederation of Public Sector Unions will demand 10 percent COLA for its members.
