Hundreds of residents in Lokia, Sigatoka, have raised concern that they are finding difficulties in going down to town to do their Christmas shopping as there are no bus services for past two weeks.
Resident Pratap Chand said Dominion Transport used to provide service in their area that stopped from the 10th of this month.
He added people have to fork out a lot of money to hire carriers and vans to travel.
Chand also said the PWD also repaired the road and there should be no reason why bus services should be ceased.
Meanwhile, Dominion Transport Director Satya Nandan said they are not supposed to provide service in the area however they did to assist the residents there for some months.
Nandan said Maharaj Transport should provide service as it comes under their route however when contacted, Maharaj buses said they are not responsible for providing service in the Lokia area.
