Ba soccer president Rishi Kumar has confirmed that none of his players have applied for their release to join other districts this season.

There has been a lot of speculation that striker Osea Vakatalesau, Peni Finau, Maciu Dunadamu, Shalen Lal, Shameel Rao and Josua Wilson have been approached by other districts.

Kumar said most of the senior players have been training together for the Pillay's Garments Champion vs Champion soccer series and his players remain loyal to The Men In Black.

Kumar said his side will be out to reclaim the CVC Series title for a record 16th time.

Since the inception of the CVC series in 1993, Ba won for a record 14 times in a row from 1994 to 2007 before losing out to Labasa in 2008.

Labasa had also won the first ever CVC title which was played in 1993. But The Men In Black recaptured the title last year after edging Lautoka.

The opening match between Ba and Lautoka next week will played at 7pm at Govind Park. You can catch the live commentary of the match on our sister station Radio Sargam with Mikaele Kaloucava and Nadeem Mohammed.
