Commuters will not be able to access Sigatoka Town as Police say the main road in the area remains closed.
The Western Police Command Centre said that Sigatoka is experiencing heavy rain and they are advising the public not to try and enter the area. ASP Tasivatu Vasoroi said though waters are receding in the area, a few strategic areas have been affected.
In Nadi, heavy rain had washed away the Navadraga, Sovalau and Naboutini Bridges with the Wailoku Bridge in Sabeto currently under 15 to 20 feet of water.
The Nadi back road is under 4 feet of water and reveal that Nadi is currently experiencing a very heavy downpour and the Nadi Hospital is also closed to traffic.
