Former Suva Grammar School sprinter Niko Verekauta is hoping to end the 2007 season on a high note.

Verekauta, the Olympic Scholarship athlete at the Oceania High Performance Training Centre who won the 400 meters final from the outside lane in 49.17 seconds on Monday, will have his final competition of the 2007 Calendar year tonight when he goes toe-to-toe with Vanuatu's Moses Kamut.

Also up against Verekauta in the 400 meters will be Samoa's long distance champion Aunese Curreen and Arnold Sorina who were beaten by Verekauta on Monday.
