Nightclub owners are being once again reminded that minors are not allowed into nightclubs.

Assistant Police spokesperson Atunaisa Sokomuri said from last year they have repeatedly warned nightclub owners that the legal age to enter clubs is 18 years but the fact is that they are not supposed to serve drinks to these youths.

Sokomuri added that the Police have repeatedly warned nightclub owners that under the Liquor Act, only those 21 years and above are allowed to buy drinks from the bars.

Meanwhile, Usaia Cirikiwai, street work manager for Youths Inc., an NGO working with the Ministry of Youth said the legal age to enter clubs should be changed.
