Nausori Police have arrested and charged a 22 year old villager for allegedly stabbing a 23 year old man with a broken beer bottle in a nightclub on Thursday night.
Assistant Spokesperson, Inspector Atunaisa Sokomuri said the alleged incident took place when the two were drinking in a nightclub in Nausori.
An argument developed between the two and the suspect allegedly broke a beer bottle and stabbed the 23yr old who sustained serious injuries and was rushed to the Nausori hospital.
The suspect has been charged with one count of Act with Intend to cause grievous bodily harm and will appear in the Nausori Magistrates court on Tuesday.
He remains in police custody.
