There has been one upside for the Chiefs following their Super Rugby defeat to the Highlanders.

Midfielder Charlie Ngatai will not face further punishment for a collision that left Highlanders flanker Elliot Dixon fortunate not to suffer a serious injury when he was flipped while attempting to field a loose ball.

The Chiefs loss also allowed the Crusaders to lead the Australasian Group Super Rugby Standings with 37 points, the Brumbies is second with 25 points, the Chiefs are in third place with 37 points while the Highlanders are fourth place with 32 points.

Meanwhile looking at last weekend’s results, the Crusaders beat the Reds 38-5, the Brumbies demolished the Bulls 23-6, the Force beat the Sunwolves 40-22, the Highlanders beat the Chiefs 26-13, the Sharks beat the Hurricanes 32-15 while the Blues beat the Kings 34-18.
