The Newtown community and the students of Bishop Kempthorn Memorial School this morning stood on the road side of Newtown, Nasinu to welcome their hero and Vodafone Fiji 7s playmaker Jerry Tuwai.
Tuwai who surprised many fans at Gold Coast last weekend was in tears this morning when he saw his parents and friends waiting for him at the Nadi International Airport.
Speaking to Fijivillage, the 25-year-old said it was a feeling that he could not describe.
Tuwai who hails from Buca, Cakaudrove added that the white jersey belongs to every Fijian.
