A new team is expected to represent Fiji, in next season's O-League.

Ba, the champion soccer side has been competing for the last three seasons, but in 2009 it's looking like Lautoka's year as they lead the points table with 20 points, three ahead of second placed Navua, who have a game in hand.

But if Lautoka beats Nadi in its final match of the first round, they will unofficially qualify for the O-League for the first time ever.

Lautoka Soccer President Shalen Prasad said at the beginning of the year they set a goal for the O-League and it seems their hard work is paying off.

Lautoka will meet Nadi this weekend, who lie in 8th place on the points standings.
