New stars expected in Coke Games
This year’s games will see the absence of many of the star athletes like Banuve Tabakaucoro, Tira Narara, Roy Ravana, Lepani Naivalu and Kaylor Yee.
People are now asking who are the top athletes to lookout for.
The most anticipated one will be the Blue ribbon event with last year's silver medalist Waisake Raselala of Sila Central High School, Suva Grammar School's Francis Kirikirikula, Natabua High School's Leone Natusa all running under 12 seconds in the zones while favourite, Beniamino Maravu of St Bedes College ran under 11 seconds in the Savusavu Zone.
Top athletes that are expected to take the Coca Cola Games by storm in the boys division will be Kemueli Waqa, Varasiko Mualevu and Neumi Komaitai of Suva Grammar School.
Carrying the hopes of Marist Brothers High School will be Tafa Varea, Sikeli Waqa, Urupeni Senibulu, Christian Narayan, William Fall and Zubair Dean.
Do lookout for some upsets also that are expected to be caused by athletes from the North and the West.
The Coca Cola Games will be held on the 16th and 17th of this month at the ANZ stadium.
