Expect a new look and improved security featured Fiji passports when they arrive at the end of this month.
Director of Immigration Major Nemani Vuniwaqa said they have analyzed and approved the sample passports that has had technical and security adjustments compared to those made by former supplier De La Rue.
With the new adjustments, an increase in passport application fee may occur but that needs to be approved by Cabinet.
Vuniwaqa added they expect Oberthur Technologies of France to deliver 40,000 books in the last week of this month, 20,000 more in July and then 16,000 in November.
