Your new role does not simply mean higher pay.
This is the message that was stressed to 120 teachers from the central and eastern division who started their leadership training today.
Permanent Secretary for Education Filipe Jitoko reminded the teachers that they would be judged on their school results, and they should not be complacent.
These teachers have been earmarked to replace school heads that retired last month.
The week long training workshop held by the Education Ministry is a refresher workshop where they will be able to ask any questions on their new roles.
Under the State Services Decree, 776 teachers from a total of 414 schools retired last month.
