All legal practitioners in the country will have to re-apply for their practicing certificates with the Chief Registrar of the High court as their licenses will expire on the 30th of next month.

Attorney General Aiyaz Sayed-Khaiyum confirmed that as per the decree issued by the President Ratu Josefa Iloilo last week, the Fiji Law Society no longer issues practicing certificates adding it will now be the Chief Registrar's responsibility.

He also confirmed that the Practicing certificates which are issued every February for a one year term will now be changed.
