The wait is finally over for the villagers of Nacamaki in Koro Island as a new nursing station was opened up there yesterday.
The Head of the Clan Elia Vuwai told Fijivillage they used to face a lot of difficulties to get health services and now they are happy as they have their own nursing station.
Meanwhile, Ministry of Health Spokesperson Iliesa Tora said the people of Nacamaki Village had to travel 10 to 15 kilometers to visit the Main Health Centre.
Tora also said the new nursing station will have the emergency facilities adding that about $50,000 dollars were spent on the project.
