The new national rugby 7s coach is expected to be named in two weeks time.

Fiji Rugby Union CEO Manasa Baravilala revealed this in a press conference this morning.

Baravilala said with the 7s coach’s application closing tomorrow, they have received about 15 applications from Fiji and abroad.

Baravilala also said that yesterday they received an application from the British Army 7s coach while some coaches who have featured in the World 7s series have applied as well.

It was earlier highlighted that former England 7s coach Ben Ryan is interested in the Fiji 7s top job.

Meanwhile, it was also revealed today that FRU physiotherapist William Koong has been appointed as the Acting HPU Manager after Mike Ryan left.
