People of Levuka will now have a great opportunity to maintain their fitness level with the help of the new gym that is under construction in Levuka.

Weightlifters will also benefit as there will be proper equipment available for their training.

$80,000 budget was given for the new High Performance Unit Gym of weightlifting by the Government and the International Olympic Committee.

The gym will have 4 sets of weights equipment worth $10,000 which has already been purchased from china.

Weightlifting Fiji’s Coach Joe Vueti said that Former President for Weightlifting Atma Maharaj has worked closely to get funding to build the gym in Levuka.
