The Fiji Football Association has today come out saying that soccer standard will improve from next year when two teams will be demoted from the Super Premier Division.

Chief Executive, Bob Kumar said while many people may object this move, the whole idea is to intensify the Super Premier Division competition.

Kumar added it has been noted that teams which finish on the bottom of the table do not provide good competition and thus bring down the soccer standard.

He added the Oceania Football Confederation has also asked the Fiji FA to improve the soccer standard of the Super Premier division which will then improve the O-League competition.

The ways it looks, Nasinu and Tavua will be demoted to the Premier Division next year.

As from next year, eight teams will compete in the Super Premier Division, eight teams will compete in the Premier Division and seven teams will play in the Senior Division.
