Fiji Football Association has confirmed that it will change the format of the National Soccer League competition from next year.

President Doctor Samshud Dean Sahu Khan said that they will now have Super 8 from next season after some of the Super Premier team's have failed to live up to expectation this season.

He said the top eight team's in the standings this season will qualify for the Super 8 while the bottom two teams will be demoted to play with the Premier teams.

He said the top eight teams will play on a round robin basis and then the top four will qualify to battle for the 1st to 4th place with prize-money at stake.

Sahu Khan said they will just have to work on the format for the Top 4 but its confirmed that from next season there will be Super 8 instead of the current format of 10 teams in the super Premier where they play on a home and away basis.
