A new champion was crowned in the boys division at the Suva zone 1 this afternoon.

It came right down to the wire as the new champion edged out last year’s winners in the silver medals.

Dudley High School dethroned Nasinu Secondary School scooping 8 gold, 6 silver and 4 bronze while Nasinu settled for 8 gold, 5 silver and 7 bronze and in third place was Wainimakutu Secondary School with 7 gold and 2 bronze.

In the girls division Wainimakutu Secondary School successfully defended their title to make it three years in a row.

Wainimakutu won 10 gold, 4 silver and 3 bronze while Assemblies of God High School came in second place with 7 gold, 4 silver and 2 bronze while Ratu Sukuna Memorial School in third place with 5 gold, 2 silver and 4 bronze.

Best Female athlete went to Kinisimere Leitabu of Wainimakutu and
Best Male went to Jovesa Vaileba of Ratu Sukuna Memorial.
