The Media Industry Development Authority will have a new chairman as Professor Satendra Nandan, who was appointed to the post initially has stepped down due to medical reasons.
Speaking at a press conference this afternoon, Attorney General Aiyaz Sayed-Khaiyum revealed that Academic Professor Subramani will be the new Chairman.
Sayed-Khaiyum also revealed the other 5 members appointed to the Authority.
Sayed-Khaiyum said in accordance with the requirements under the Media Decree, the mainstream media outlets have registered and more registrations are coming in.
