About 129 students of Rewa District School in Lomanikoro, Rewa are looking forward to using their new building after the official opening this morning by the Permanent Secretary of Provincial Development Manasa Vaniqi.

School Manager Alipate Senikuta said the new building was funded by the government after seeking assistance to Prime Minister Commodore Voreqe Bainimarama during his recent visit.

Senikuta said with the worst condition of the old building and for the safety of students, a new building was needed which will be used for class 5 to 8.

He added to coincide with the event today the ex scholars will also fund raised to buy a new computer for the school.

The school was established in 1928.
