Vodafone Fiji 7s Coach Ben Ryan says that he was nervous on the bench before they played Scotland as they are a great side but he is happy that they got that out of the way and can concentrate on their next game.
Ryan says that they have a great side with a few players in the wider squad and they have something up their sleeve too.
He adds that the new boys made an instant impact and mentions that it is beneficial having them on the team as they have played 7s before and will now sharpen some of their skills and fitness over the next couple of months.
Meanwhile, the Fiji 7s team started their Paris 7s campaign with a 38-12 win over Scotland in their first pool match this morning.
The national side scored six tries to two to outclass the Scottish side.
Fiji was leading 21-5 at halftime.
Fiji will now take on Wales at 9.14pm tonight and then face Samoa in our last pool match at 12.47am tomorrow morning.
The Paris 7s Cup quarterfinals will start at 9.13pm tomorrow, the Cup semifinals will start at 1.03am Monday while the Cup Final will kick off at 4.15am Monday.
