The Fiji Fashion Week will be having a new aspect to their show, as an art exhibition will be introduced this year.
Fiji Fashion Week Events Administrator Gary Manuel said as they are in the third year in trying to establish the fashion industry, they decided an art exhibition will go hand in hand in promoting fashion.
Manuel said the exhibition will be a good opportunity to showcase local artists especially for people with hidden talents.
80% of the sales proceeds will be given to the local artists while 20% of it will be retained by the committee for the operational costs.
Work must be submitted to the Fiji Fashion Week office no later than 5pm, Monday, 4 October 2010.
The art exhibition entry is open to the general public.
