The Public Service Commission has stressed that new appointments in the civil service will continue to be made which are necessary.
Fiji Public Service Association general secretary, Rajeshwar Singh has raised concern that PSC had indicated after the events of December 5th that no new appointments will be made due to costs cutting.
However, PSC Chairman Rishi Ram has defended commission's decision.
Their comments came after some positions for auditors and senior road engineers were advertised in the dailies yesterday.
