New Zealand 7s rep boosts Ponsonby
King played for the Gordon Tietjens coached New Zealand side last season and is one of the most experienced players in the Ponsonby lineup.
There are also 4 Fijians playing for Ponsonby in the Uprising International 7s in the likes of Rocky Khan, Nico Ratumaitavuki, Shawn Morrell and Jona Tuitoga.
Morrell has also played for the Fiji 15s and 7s team.
Ponsonby is in Pool B with France, Army and Navy.
Meanwhile, the Digicel Matai selection team will today name replacements for William Ryder, Nemani Nagusa and Semesa Gonevou as these players have been named in the South Seas Drifters side that is heading to the Darwin Sevens this weekend.
