Former Honorary Consul of Germany in Fiji and local businessman, David Aidney has been named as the new chairman of Transparency International Fiji, replacing Suliana Siwiwatibau.
After taking office early this week on Monday, Aidney was informed on the development of the Open Budget Initiative (OBI) in Fiji where the organization is looking at the national budget and its implementation so far.
According to Aidney, results of their analysis on the 2009 National Budget will be made public in a few weeks time.
