There will be changes made to the FMF Flying Fijians 15s rugby coaching and management staff for the Rugby World Cup in France.
Village Sports has been reliably informed that some new team officials will be named by the Fiji Rugby Union board although it is still investigating reports and allegations against some of the 15s rugby staff who were out drinking before the game against Australia A and two officials were allegedly smoking marijuana and were left behind in the hotel room before the Test match against Australia.
Although the FRU board has not received any concrete evidence from reports regarding those officials who were out drinking in the nursing quarters in Sigatoka, it is understood that those who were involved have admitted to the board that they returned to camp after midnight.
On the drinking party, the FRU Games Committee has made it clear that those who were involved will face suspension as they have made it clear that one has to look at the two Test match ban on Wallaby winger Lote Tuqiri to see the seriousness of such offences in professional rugby.
The FRU board will now analyze the manager’s report from the Australia Test match before they will make any comments and Captain Alifereti Doviverata will also be called in to give his side of the story.
