A member of the Fiji Military Forces legal team believes the new media promulgation will help media organizations dig deeper to get the truth on any news item they will broadcast or publish.

While raising his concern to the Media Council chairman at the Attorney General's Conference last weekend, Lieutenant Colonel Kitione Tuinaosara said most of the time when the print media makes mistakes their apology cannot be recognized by the readers.

He hopes the media can practice more accountability and responsibility.
