A new political party has been formed in the country as there are indications that General Elections will be held in March next year.
General Secretary for, Fiji People's Party, Charan Jeath Singh said a group of concerned citizens were motivated to form the party for a number of reasons.
According to Singh, the Fiji People's Party will be a multi racial party to look into the plight and concerns of the people of Fiji who have witnessed a weakening economy, an upward trend in inflation, rising unemployment and an increase in the crime rate.
Singh said they are intending to contest 60 seats in the upcoming general elections.
The Party is expected to be launched in two months.
