New National Netball Coach Melissa Walker will be meeting the Under-21 and National squads this week and one aspect that she will look into will be the fitness levels of the girls.
Speaking to Fijivillage Sports, Walker said she has been briefed the girls have been training for the past four weeks under the watchful eyes of local Coach Una Rokoura.
Walker adds she has worked with the New Zealand Maori youths for quite some time and is excited about working with the Fijian athletes for the flair that they have.
Walker will later this week meet with Netball Fiji Executives to study her contract details and is hoping that she will take the National Team to the Commonwealth Games.
Meanwhile, her big task ahead is to prepare the National Under-21 team for the World Youth Championships in the Cook Islands in July next year.
