Today marks another new chapter for the people of Tailevu and Rewa as Prime Minister Commodore Voreqe Bainimarama opened the new mortuary and the x-ray department at the Wainibokasi Hospital.
Commodore Bainimarama said the Wainibokasi hospital looks after more than 10,000 people who live in the Rewa delta and the nearby villages and this project has been long overdue.
Bainimarama said they are working closely with the Ministry of Health to see that they meet the needs of the public.
Health Minister, Dr Neil Sharma said 2010 will be the year to lift the delivery of health services.
