New Look GCC Appointment Soon
Speaking to Fijivillage News Ratu Josateki Nawalowalo has confirmed the Interim Prime Minister wants the GCC to meet after the 14 provinces will complete their meeting at the end of May.
Nawalowalo said the message from the Interim Government is clear that only chiefs who have been traditionally installed will be members of the GCC.
The GCC review team now only consists of 4 members after Ratu Talemo Vakalalabure and Josefa Basulu are no longer with them because of illness.
Former chairman Ratu Tuakitau Cokanauto has been replaced by Ratu Nawalowalo who will now work with Ro Epeli Mataitini and newly appointed member Ro Filimoni Ralogaivau.
The committee will sit next Tuesday with the Permanent Secretary for Fijian Affairs on the role they will carry out with the respective 14 provinces in the country.
