The Health Ministry is planning to start brushing after meal Programs in schools again.

The Dental Lecturer with the Fiji School of Medicine, Doctor Bernadette Pushpaangaeli said a survey result shows that 88 percent of 6 yr old children have bad teeth while 85 percent of children have not had their teeth treated.

Dr Pushpaangaeli said they want to start brushing as school is a place where good habits can be instilled in children.

Her comment comes as this month has been declared Oral Health Month and free checks are conducted at various supermarkets and clinics.

People have been called to take advantage of the services.
