The newly completed Great Council of Chiefs complex will be officially blessed and consecrated tomorrow.

Indigenous Affairs Permanent Secretary Ratu Meli Bainimarama said the President of the Methodist Church, Reverend Ame Tugawe, will be blessing the premises in Suva.

Bainimarama said the Ministry of Indigenous Affairs including the Native Lands and Fisheries Commission, Institute of Indigenous Language and Culture, the Scholarships Unit and support services will be relocated to the North Wing of the GCC Complex.

The formal and traditional ceremonies normally associated with such an event will be reserved for the formal opening of the main meeting chamber and its adjoining facilities, at a time to be decided by Government.
